L’élaboration du Projet d’établissement 2024-2028 est en cours.  L’APE a été invité à contribuer à ce document important, qui définit les grands axes ainsi que les objectifs de l’école pour les cinq ans à venir.   Quatre membres de l’APE ont participé à une réunion le 10 0ctobre.

L’école a mis en place un Comité de pilotage pour faire ce travail, composé de l’équipe de direction, deux enseignants du primaire et deux enseignants du secondaire.

Le projet d’établissement a trois grands axes :

1. Des langues et des cultures pour former les femmes et les hommes, citoyens de demain ;
2. Un épanouissement et un bien être personnel et collectif, un engagement dans le développement durable ;
3. Une culture scientifique et technique valorisée. Le numérique au service des apprentissages.

Le feedback de l’APE s’est concentré sur les points suivants :

• Inclure une introduction au Projet pour que les parents puissent mieux comprendre le contexte qui a mené au choix des axes et des objectifs ;
• Valoriser la communication en face-à-face avec les parents, qui a été perturbé par le COVID ; et simplifier les outils de communication digitale ;
• Apporter des précisions à l’axe 2 principalement en mentionnant de manière explicite le concept de harcèlement et l’amélioration du climat scolaire ;
• L’importance de l’aménagement de l’espace et d’améliorations aux espaces collectifs ;
• L’importance d’une approche structurée et cohérente de la surveillance des enfants pendant les temps de pause, y compris pour l’usage des téléphones, afin de promouvoir la socialisation respectueuse et la bienveillance.

L’APE aura à nouveau l’occasion de passer le projet en revue avant la réunion du Conseil d’établissement prévue le 16 novembre, où sera voté le projet.

NOTA BENE: Lorsqu’on parle des Objectifs de Développement Durable, il s’agit des 17 objectifs définis par les Nations Unis.  Les écoles françaises suivent maintenant ce cadre : « L'éducation au développement durable (EDD) permet d'appréhender la complexité du monde dans ses dimensions scientifiques, éthiques et civiques. Transversale, elle figure dans les programmes d'enseignement. The school is in the process of putting together its five year plan.  The APE was invited to provide its comments and suggestions on this important document, which defines the school’s main focus areas and objectives for the coming 5 years.  Four APE members participated in a meeting held on October 10.

To conduct this work, the school put in place a steering committee, composed of the management team, two primary teachers and two secondary teachers.

The plan’s three main focus areas are:

1. Languages and cultures to educate women and men, citizens of tomorrow
2. Personal and community development and wellbeing, a commitment to sustainable development goals
3. A valued scientific and technological culture. Digital tools to serve learning.

The APE’s feedback focused mainly on:

• Including an introduction to the Plan so that parents can better understand the context that led to the definition of its focus areas and objectives;
• Promoting face to face communication with parents, which was somewhat disrupted by COVID; and simplifying digital communication tools;
• Specifying Focus are #2, mainly by explicitly mentioning harassment and improvement of the school climate.
• The importance of the spatial planning and design and the improvement of common areas in the school building;
• The importance of a structured and consistent approach to student supervision during break times, including regarding phone usage, in order to promote respect and kindness.

The APE will have a second opportunity to review the plan before the School Council meeting scheduled on November 16, when the plan will be put forward for approval.
